【備忘録】gvfs

1.5TB の HDL-C1.5 をネットワークにぶら下げ、nautilus から接続して使い始めましたが、一体どこにマウントポイントがあるのか、しばらく判りませんでした。


df コマンドだと判りませんが mount だと見えます。

GVFS という、Gnome の仮想ファイルシステムで、ローカルの ~/.gvfs 内にネットワークドライブがマウントされていたのでした。GVFS は、Gnome 2.22 で GnomeVFS と置き換えられたもののようですが、そもそも GnomeVFS も知りません。man コマンドでは出てこないし、インターネットでも情報源があまり見つかりませんでした。とりあえず rpm -ql gvfs とタイプして、/usr/bin 以下にインストールされているファイルから、gvfs-mount を選んでヘルプをみてみました。

$ gvfs-mount --help
用法:
  gvfs-mount [オプション...] - mount 

ヘルプのオプション:
  -h, --help               ヘルプのオプションを表示する

アプリケーションのオプション:
  -m, --mountable          Mount as mountable
  -d, --device             Mount volume with device file
  -u, --unmount            Unmount
  -s, --unmount-scheme     Unmount all mounts with the given scheme
  -l, --list               List
  -i, --detail             Show extra information for List and Monitor
  -o, --monitor            Monitor events

$ gvfs-mount -l

Tiny COBOL 0.65.5

先日、バージョン 0.65 がリリースされたばかりだというのに、バグフィックスバージョンの 0.65.5 がリリースされました。現在 VB-ISAM の RPM パッケージを作成中…。

Due to a major bug fix, TC version 0.65.5 (32-bit) is now available for
download [1].

Lots of changes to the file IO compiler and run-time have been made.

For indexed files, version 0.65, uses VB-ISAM version 2.
While BDB is no longer used for indexed files, it is still required by
the RT for file SORTS.

To build and run TC version 0.65.5 requires the following.
- VB-ISAM version 2 or later.
- Berkeley DB version 1.85 or later.
- A curses library (PDcurses on win32).

Since VB-ISAM is not usually included in any UN*X distributions, the
source can be found on SF [2].

For MinGW users, binaries are available on SF [1].
Just download and install TC (ZIP or setup format), VB-ISAM version 2
[3], BDB version 1.85 [4], and PDcurses version 2.4 [5].
Or download the ALL version ZIP file which contains TC and required
libraries.

LAN 接続型ハードディスク

そろそろ Windows Vista を Windows 7 へアップグレードしようかと地元のショッピングセンター内にあるジョーシンをぶらついていたら、アイ・オー・データ機器の LAN 接続型ハードディスク（HDL-Cシリーズ）が目に入ってしまいました。かねてから、USB による外付けハードディスクではなく、ネットワークで共有できるハードディスクが欲しいと思っていたので、Windows 7 をあきらめて、1.5TB の HDL-C1.5 を買ってしまいました。帰宅後、まず Windows で基本的な設定を済ませました。Fedora/Windows のアカウントと同じ名前（bitwalk）と同じパスワードを設定しておきます。

さて、問題は Fedora からのアクセスですが、しばらく Samba を使わない間に、いろいろと便利になっていてビックリです。mount -t cifs を使おうといろいろ試していたところ、nautilus で簡単に接続できることを発見。あっけないほど簡単に接続できてしまいました。

まず、nautilus を開いて、メニューから、ファイル(F) → サーバへ接続(S)... を選びます。

接続先を設定する先を設定して 接続する(O) をクリックするだけです。ここでは、//192.168.11.3/bitwalk へ接続しようとしている例です。

ミラーリングも何もしていない安易な使い方ではありますが、Windows、Linux どちらからも共有できる広大な領域が、安価に利用できるようになったので、とりあえず満足です。

COBOL-IT

昨日の Tiny COBOL に関連する情報を調べていたところ、COBOL-IT なるものを見つけました。どうやら、西田圭介氏が開発していた OpenCOBOL から派生した物らしいです。

ソースをダウンロードして、コンパイルして見たところ難なく出来たので、RPM パッケージを作ってインストールし、ちょっと使って見ました。以下のサンプル hello.cob はごく簡単なものです。

       IDENTIFICATION  DIVISION.
       PROGRAM-ID.     HELLO.
       PROCEDURE       DIVISION. 
           DISPLAY "Hello World!".
           STOP   RUN.

コンパイルと実行は次の通りです。

$ cobc hello.cob
$ ls
hello.cob  hello.so
$ cobcrun hello
Hello World!
$ 

MicroFocus の COBOL と互換な使い方もできるようです。

$ cobmf --help
Cobol-IT MF compatible cob

RPM パッケージを下記のサイトに供給させてもらえるか、サイトの管理者と交渉してみる予定です。また、Windows 版をクロスコンパイルできるかもしれないです。詳細を後日報告します。

追記

その後、make check をして、テストプログラムをチェックしたところ、大量の FAILED が出ました。RPM パッケージを供給する前に、とりあえずこの件でサイトの管理者に問い合わせ中です。(10/1/9)
